Moray councillors today approved by eight votes to three an outline planning application for a retail development on Common Good land at Forres.
The application by Aberdeen-based Redco Milne relates to a supermarket, petrol station and three retail units on a site at Bogton Road.
The decision by the council’s planning and regulatory services committee followed a public hearing at which a number of the 150 objectors to the development proposal voiced their opposition.
