On Wednesday 16th May, Alba Physiotherapy in Inverness will be hosting a 12 hour "Pilates-athon" in support of Mind, Pets as Therapy and Veterans with Dogs.
Alba Physiotherapy is unique, as we care for both humans and animals and we wanted to incorporate this into our event, so as well as Pilates, we will be running our "Dogilates" classes (human and dog pilates) and we'll be getting our equine partners involved too!
Not many people are aware of the benefits of Pilates on your mental wellbeing, so we hope to raise awareness of this and the wonderful work these charities do. Pilates has proven to improve your memory, lowering the risk of Alzheimer's and due to the deep muscle activation in Pilates, this also improves the function of your nervous system. It is also great for relieving anxiety and stress, reducing negative emotions and managing chronic pain.
Our target is £1000 altogether, but it would be absolutely fantastic if we could raise more than that.

Bouncy castle, stalls, raffles, pop-up cafe from Aroma, barbecue, ice cream (yes, we're optimistic), Morayvia, pocket money toys, games, beat the goalie and more!!!

Drumduan School's annual May Fair is being held this Saturday 12th May from 11am till 3.30pm.
There will be May Pole Dancing, Cafe, Craft Stalls and activities, Home Produce, Entertainment, School Tours, BBQ.
